This chain guide is a mounted style meaning that it uses a steel mounting channel, specifically the Type-ETA #80 chain guide uses a C9 profile. We keep C9 profile mounting channels in stock in galvanized, non galvanized, and stainless steel materials. Using a roller chain guide is common in most conveying applications where you don’t want metal-on-metal contact for wear purposes. Not only does using a chain guide drastically increase the wear life of a roller chain, but it also reduces on noise levels in applications that have metal-on-metal contact. This guide is typically in stock as 10ft lengths but we can also supply chain guides in custom lengths upon request.
