The L100 coupling half with a 1-1/8″ bore with a key-way is also commonly called an L100 coupling hub. The compact yet robust design of this 1-1/8″ bore L100 coupling half makes it highly versatile across a broad spectrum of applications, including; pumps, blowers, compressors, mixers, motion control (servo), and more!. Depending on the insert type used, a complete L100 coupling assembly is capable of optimal operation with an angular misalignment from 0.5 to 1.0 degrees and a parallel misalignment of 0.10″ to 0.15″. This advantage is due to the greater radial softness. Additionally, L100 couplings utilize a no metal-on-metal design (excluding bronze inserts), drastically improving their wear life compared to other coupling types.
